Zoo trip

After a very exciting trip on the bus, we had a quick morning tea, divided into  groups, and set off to explore the zoo.

 Even Maisy came a long. She loved the giraffes.

 Before lunch we met Lyn one of the zoo keepers. She introduced us to Sonic the hedgehog and  Mama the skink.

Mama was really keen to say hello to Zoey!

Feeding the giraffes was amazing. They have very long, slobbery tongues!

Some of us were a little bit tired on the way back to school.






What an amazing day we had at Wellington Zoo. Thanks to all the Mums and Dads who joined us, looked after us, and made it such a special day.

Cross-country

First we had to train. We had to run everyday for 2 weeks to build up our fitness.

On the day of the cross-country it was a bit grotty so we met down in the hall.
In groups we then went down to run our race.
