Letter of the week

Term 3, week 3   Y is for yo-yos




We got some yellow cookies, we needed lots.








We mixed yellow icing and stuck two cookies together with the icing.

Don't they look yummy.

 What did we do with our yummy yellow yo-yos?
We ate them of course.

Week 8, B is for bands


 Some of the children in Room 16 are very good at making things with Bands, so today they were the teachers and showed us all what to do.

 They were great teachers.   We had to really concentrate.

 The finished products!
Week 7, S is for Sign. We made a sign for our bird restaurant.


Week 6,  We went walking looking for  things that started with W...
 We went walking on wood,




We went walking by water,











by windows,
                                                                             and by Mrs Wilson,
 We found worms in the wormery.









 and watches on wrists!













Week 5,  V is for vegies

We went down to the vegetable garden and gathered vegies.


 And we made vegie soup.









We had some pumpkin left over so we also made pumpkin pie.
 We mashed, rolled, stirred,  cooked...


  And then ate!
Some of us thought it might be a bit yuck, but when we tried it was really nice.














Week 4,   J is for jelly


 We made 3 different batches of jelly.
Blue, green and red, and in the red we added some kiwifruit.

We put them in the freezer to speed the setting process, they got a bit icy!



Week 3   Z is for Zoo

 What a fabulous day we had at the zoo!

Week 2, Term 2  Q is for quilt
We painted one of favourite animals on a piece of material.

Then Mrs Bloomfield sewed them all together.






I wonder where my animal is?





Stuart helped us hang it up in our corridor.

Week 1, Term 2   L is for locket
We made lockets for some very special people.



Happy Mother's Day to our Room 16 Mums.
We hope you all had a great Mother's Day and loved wearing your lockets!

Week 10   T is for toast, so we made toast but not just normal toast, painted toast!

 We put food colouring in  milk and then used cotton buds as paint brushes to paint our bread.

 Then we toasted it.



                                            And ate it, YUM!


Week 9    M is for Music
We made music...






Week 8  N is for....
These are all the neat things that start with "N" that we brought in this week.



A nest,




             noodles and a nose,


a New World collectible and nail polish,





                         necklaces,






nuts,





                                              and Natalie.



























Week 7 
We went down to the vegie garden to look for something that starts with R and we found...




rhubarb,

and radishes


R for radishes and rhubarb










 We got one each, took them back to the class, washed them and gave them a try!



Some of us liked them.


We decided to make rhubarb and apple crumble with the rhubarb,



but first we tried a little bit of rhubarb. We dipped it in sugar but it was still really sour!



We cooked the fruit first and then add the crumble topping.




















 Yummy!











Week 6  H for hair, so we did crazy hair dos!









Week 5  G for garden 


 We have been planting lots of vegies in the garden, leeks, radishes and beans.









Week 4  O for orange

We made orange octopus, and orange origami birds



Week 3  D for Dinosaur 

We made cool dinosaur masks

Week 2   A is for apple

What did we do with apples?
We put them together with peanut butter and mini marshmallows and made...


 Smiles!!!!


They were cool and yummy but not as beautiful as our real smiles

Week 1     Letter C
We painted cool, colourful cats.
Don't they look amazing!!!
