Fish kites

As part of our Up, up and away inquiry on flight, we made fish kites.

One of the reading groups read a story called Let's see Ling Lee.

The story was about a girl who brought a goldfish to school for her class. She brought it because in China having 3 goldfish is lucky, and in their classroom they had 2 fish so she brought in another one.









In Room 16 we have had 2 goldfish, so we thought we should get another one too.



We put on our hats and walked down to the pet shop. It took us awhile to choose!

 The pet shop lady used a net to catch our fish, then she put it in a plastic bag filled with water.

 Then we carried our fish back to school.

 This is our new fish. We named him Sparky.
